My name is Andres Pereira. I am asking for the privilege of serving you, the citizens of
Harris County, as Judge of the 190th Civil District Court.
I am committed to the principle that our government belongs to the people. In the
courthouse, that means ensuring that the door is open, treating every litigant with dignity
and respect, and preserving the right to have disputes resolved by a jury of one's peers.
During my 12 year career as a trial lawyer, I have been fortunate enough to see this
process at its best. Even after many years of practice, I am still humbled by the
willingness of jurors to serve their communities in the simple but noble act of providing a
forum where citizens can resolve their conflicts with peace and civility.
The Harris County Courthouse belongs to you, the citizens of Harris County and those that
seek justice in its courtrooms. Because the courthouse belongs to you, you get to
choose those like myself who seek to serve in the courthouse. In other words, today you
are the judge. The information on this web site will introduce you to me and my
background. I hope you will read about my vision for your court. Our system, which is a
beacon to people from other nations, can only work when we understand it and have faith
in the power of our courts to achieve justice.
I hope after reading this site I may have your vote. I certainly ask you for your vote and I
promise to serve you as best as I can.
Finally, before you leave, I invite you to sign up for updates, join my team or make a
contribution to my campaign.
I thank you for your support and for your commitment to justice for all who seek it in Harris
County.
Andres
